Posted: Thu Mar 23, 2006 1:51 pm    Post subject: message from cape town cape town, march 22 arrived to cape town today, first impressions were... this is an amazingly scenic place, great waterfront views, sunsets, mountains, blue skies... and we have high hopes for the concert here, it's said to be sold out, the capacity is some 25 000 + (that's a guess). the concert in durban was great, everyone had a good feeling throughout the gig, people were responsive and the general mood was just right. today i made a short visit to the indian ocean once before we left to the airport. also, metallica put up a great show yesterday, they were happy with the show themselves, and it was just a blow off... the whole crowd just went crazy for them. it's delightful to see your teenage favourites still coming up with a great show. we had lot of fun. their set included all the old hits that we wanted to hear. very nostalgic feelings for us... tomorrow we gonna try out the atlantic ocean, some of us will go for a shark-cage-dive, myself, i'm heading for the surf, some go for a city sightseeing. in the afternoon we plan to visit the table mountain overlooking cape town... great! eero pics by timo isoaho
